BAYMEADOWS. One of the area's top Asian restaurants, Lemongrass offers folks who venture to Deerwood Village the opportunity to sample some truly great Thai cuisine in a setting decorated with cool architectural features, a sleek bar area, and a tropical green color scheme. The dishes promise an abundance of flavor and are so beautifully presented, each one looks like a piece of modern art. Particularly recommended are crispy duck with mixed vegetables, roast duckling with steamed broccoli, snapper with special curry sauce and vegetables, and wok-seared lobster and scallops in brown garlic sauce.

PONTE VEDRA. Part of the San Marco group of restaurants, Medure stands out for its sophistication ­ a quality that seems to exude from the menu, the decor and even the staff and clientele. Indeed, Chef Matthew Medure's stunning menu features high-brow selections like Beluga caviar and perfectly complements them with artfully presented dishes of potato-crusted grouper, focaccia-crusted monkfish and grilled chicken stuffed with foie gras. As for the setting, the metallic elements, sharp geometry, smooth surfaces and soaring wine racks give the space an air of calm confidence and likely spark several conversations over the course of the evening.

SAN MARCO. The sleek, contemporary décor of bright blues and neon accents set the scene for this modern-day sushi establishment. As for menu selections, a must try is the Jaguar Roll, filled with seafood, rice, lobster tail, cucumber and avocado. The spicy tuna roll, wrapped in black seaweed with tuna and hot sauce, is excellent, as is the sampler platter of tuna, salmon, shrimp, yellowtail and California rolls. Business casual attire. JAX BEACH. Situated on the boardwalk, The Atlantic is a popular after work gathering spot with great ocean views and a good selection of tasty sushi specilaties like Maine, California, Key West and eel tempura rolls. The music starts about 9pm and might be anything from jazz to techno. Good happy hour drink specials attract big crowds.
